Rise & Shine: Compass Offices' Best Breakfast Spots

None

According to experts, breakfast is the most important meal. So no matter whether you're using a Compass Offices Virtual or Serviced Office, starting your day off with a hearty meal is vital to being healthy and productive.

With that in mind, we’ve rounded up a few of our favourite breakfast spots in Compass Office cities from around the world:

HONG KONG

Mandarin Grill & Bar: For a truly refined start to the day, the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong is the place to be. Serving up classics like Eggs Benedict, a full English Breakfast and even Chinese congee in spacious and sophisticated surrounds, this is a great choice for early morning business meetings or just some quiet relaxation before the hectic day kicks in.

Australian Dairy Company: Don’t be fooled by the name… a meal at Jordan’s Australian Dairy Company has become renowned as one of the most quintessentially Hong Kong breakfast experiences. The environment is no-frills, the service even more so – but it’s all about their famous scrambled eggs on toast, which many claim to be the best in the city; their secret ingredient is apparently cream soup!

SINGAPORE

Kiliney Kopitam: Ask any Singaporean for their idea of the perfect breakfast and kaya toast is bound to be top of many people’s lists. Kiliney Kopitam has perfected this delicious dish, which consists of a sweet jam made from coconut and pandan served with soft-boiled eggs – and with locations throughout the city, you’re never far from your next fix.

Ghim Moh Hawker Centre: Want to be spoiled for choice… and absolutely stuffed? Ghim Moh Hawker Centre has stalls galore, all serving up different cuisines and dishes for your tasting pleasure. Chwee kueh, a steamed rice cake topped with diced preserved radish and chilli sauce, is a perennial favourite.

TOKYO

Sushi Dai: A morning trip to Tsukiji Fish Market is a must for any first-time visitor to Tokyo – and what better way to top off it off than with a sushi breakfast? You’ll never eat fresher than the fish and seafood on offer at Sushi Dai, and the prices are reasonable too. With only around 12 seats inside, you’ll need to get there early to avoid the queues – they start forming around 5am!

Echire Maison du Beurre: France’s Echire butter is regarded as one of the best butters in the world – so it’s no surprise that the freshly baked croissants at their Tokyo store (the only one outside France) are a daily sell-out! Boasting light flaky folds of buttery pastry, these are just the thing for a spot of grab-and-go indulgence to start your day.

SYDNEY

Devon Café: Perfectly epitomising Sydney’s bright and breezy café scene, Devon Café dishes up a sizeable breakfast menu in a charmingly laidback setting. Signatures include “Brunching With The Sakuma’s”, an Asian-inspired dish of roasted salmon, potato noodles, a perfectly-cooked onsen egg, and clam and miso butter; if you’re in the mood for something more simple, their bruschetta, yoghurt bowls and homemade muffins are just as impressive.

Bowery Lane: A rustic yet refined restaurant inspired by 18th century Manhattan, Bowery Lane offers a comprehensive take on all-day dining – and their breakfast is no exception. Dishes like buttermilk hotcakes, smashed avocado on sourdough bread and the “Scouts Breakfast” of poached egg, goat’s cheese, crispy prosciutto, mushrooms and roast potatoes will ensure your morning gets off to a hearty start.
